There are many, many... I mean many places to stay in Queenstown for a variety of budgets and dependent on where you would like to be located. Driving around Queenstown is not easy because of the amount of traffic, pedestrians and parking; walking is a better option. The rooms at the Lakeview had good views of the lake and mountains. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and useable. Parking was great and because you could leave your car there and walk to Queenstown it was helpful. The reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful. Having a bar/restaurant was helpful on a rainy day so you didn't have to walk in inclement weather or navigate the roads with others.

The ground floor large rooms only have a view of the Mountains or the large garden on the patio area in our case. The lake can be seen on higher floors. The room was dated but very clean with housekeeping doing a very good job. The location of the hotel is close to town to walk to however the navigating of the roadworks around the hotel was a task as was the very steep hill in Stanley St on the way to town. Not for the faint hearted. Apparently the roadworks will be going for another couple of years. The staff were informative but very corporate and didn't upsell the hotels features.

That the staff were very patients with me and didn't rush me during check out thank you so much for being patients with me my family had no ears but the staff was very nice and good about it, and the waitress girl I felt a little bad because my baby made a mess at the restaurant and I don't Carry money on me so I didn't get to tip her she was so lovely and understanding very kind so I will be back 1 day and I hope she will still be there coz I would love to tip her for cleaning up after me and the boys thank U waiter and staff for having us xx

Comfortable.and clean hotel, Hotel style is a little old skool but I was happy with that. Location was handy and staff were friendly. After reading in some reviews that some rooms had minimal lake views, I messaged ahead to request a lake view and were advised that they would try to put us in a higher level floor..We were given a room with a stunning view of the lake and mountains so would recommend asking.

The room was fantastic for a family of four having two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and toilets. It was roomy and comfortable and the view was amazing. It was pretty noise proof given guests either side and being on a busy road. We also loved the beds and pillows. They were the most comfortable of all of our stays over two weeks and I want to buy the same pillows as they were so good!
